How do you replace 5 great business agent?


                     

After firing them you flood the field with 24 new, inexperienced ones. Ones that will campaign on your time, intimidate members, and do whatever Bill Dugan and the United Engineer party tells them to do. And you add hundreds of thousands of dues dollars to the Local payroll, your money.

Along with a campaign of deception, Dugan fired and destroyed the livelihood of not only long-serving, dedicated business agents and staffers charged to protect the welfare of their fellow members (not the political future of Mr. Dugan). They were fired because they chose to stand up for the truth about the pension losses, over spending, excessive spending of union dues, and much, much more.  

Armed with years of experience and a unique, unobstructed view of the deceitful underbelly of our administration, they expressed their right to support another candidate for President, Joe Ward, and for that, lost their jobs and livelihood. If allowed to continue without accountability, Mr. Dugan will have succeeded in the removal of the only barrier between you, the members, and his ability to continue to govern by fear, force and intimidation.

Those who Dugan fired (all without any hearing or notice) had not failed you or their sworn duties to serve our member base. They had, as always, continued to support the mission and goals of our organization. Nor had they committed fraud, theft or any other illegal action against us. They simply chose to invoke their right to support a new and better way forward for the future of Local 150 by supporting Joe Ward’s candidacy.

Based on the results of their honesty, is it any wonder they were hesitant to do disclose their intensions earlier? Is it any wonder that many others now fear to speak out, stand up, or be counted as a true brother?

Power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely, we know this to be true. It is for this reason our organization is compelled to maintain a balance of power through both a constitutional body of elected officials and an executive body representing individual districts that embody the whole.

We are not an organization of cowards. As promised, Team 150 and its supporters will not sit idly by as a foundation of honor, hard fought for and hard earned by decades of members before us and continued today 22,000 members strong, is threatened by forces corrupt with greed for the sole purpose of power over others through political bullying.

Member genocide cannot be tolerated as a political strategy, as it levies dishonor and disgrace on Local 150 membership as a whole.

 These five agents were the best of the best, but they chose to represent the members over the whims of Bill Dugan and were fired. Ask yourself what kind of UNION do you want for the future.

 

Secret #1    Question? How many 150 Members will receive any information about the race for Governor? Answer: 0, nada, zilch.

                   Question? How many 150 members will receive any information about candidate Judy Topinka in the race for Governor in Illinois?  Answer Every

                   single one! Want to know why? Bill Dugan refuses to allow the Illinois State AFL-CIO to mail any information to 150 members.

                   (so much for freedom of speech, freedom of choice and a democratic union) More tyranny and restrictions of freedoms for 150 members.

                   Ah but wait, after TEAM 150  raised their Democratic voice at the Sept. 21st Dist. 5 Membership meeting Bob Paddock a VP of the State

                   AFL-CIO was instructed to call the AFL-CIO and send the mailing. Did you get yours? Today is November 4th and I still haven't. In case you

                    didn't Just look at her record, she voted against every important worker issue near and dear to labor and 150 members. What's She Thinking?

Secret #2    Question? What are the chances of a duly elected officer of Local 150 informing the members of waste and incompetence in our local union

Secret#3      Question? When  laid off, can a company call a permit hand back to work before me, a journeyman?? Answer: yes yes and yes. On page 11

                    of the September 2006 150 Engineer a lame explanation starts out by saying "Pursuant to a unanimous decision by the Local 150 Executive

                    board,.......( apparently UNANIMOUS means whatever Bill Dugan wants) I ask every member to question your district executive board member and

                    ask him if he even voted for this piece of crap. In fact ask for a copy of the executive board minutes and see for yourself that some people were not

                    even present. Is it possible that the minutes were forged??? Couldn't be, because Jim Sweeny says" its a matter of trust"? Bull....! Ah but wait again.

                    At the last executive board meeting the provisional card was reversed after TEAM 150 executive board supporters( by the way we are the majority)

                    overturned this anti member resolution. Shouldn't the minutes of every Executive Board  meeting posted as soon as possible after the board meetings?

                    How about a resolution from the district meeting to post those minutes? For all those who say this democratic process is tearing apart the Local,

                    I say its already bearing positive fruit.

 

Secret#4      Question? Did Bill Dugan force the executive board to change the age requirements for retirement because: (a) so he can get Judy Barr elected

                    and get another state paid position (b) because he needs more corn for his buffaloes (c) so he can continue to draw a full 150 salary of

                    $211,892 (2005 LM2), and a international salary of $82,661 and free health care for life (Local 150 2005 LM2). Naaaa he wouldn't do that,

                    would he? ((LM2 INSTRUCTIONS (after you click the LM2 link, choose UNION, then UNION ABBREVIATION (IUOE), then  UNION

                    TYPE, local or international, then DESIGNATION  NUMBER i.e. 150, click submit, and your good to go. ))

               

Secret #5     Question? Bill Dugan wants Judy Barr Topinka elected because: (a) she has such a great voting record on labor issues. (b) she's just plain pretty.

                    (c) she promised Dugan she would get a gambling license for Bill Dugan's buddy Don Stevens the Mayor of Rosemont, You know what maybe we

                    better let the Attorney General handle this one.

 

Secret #6     Question? Do business agents and other staff have to pay Dugan cash every month? Does he keep a record? Wherever does it go? Is that legal?

                    Mr. Giblin, are you listening?????

 

Secret #7     Question?  Is apprenticeship equipment that belongs to the Local 150 training site being used to haul corn to buffaloes in Maryland?

                    Was there a lease agreement with apprenticeship for corn land?  Where did all this corn come from???  Ask a certain member at the training

                    site......better yet check out the minutes of the District 5 October 19th meeting. Is this a "matter of trust"

 

Secret #8     Question?  Why is it unacceptable for certain union officers to invest their own private funds in a corporation that contractors also invested in,

                    but acceptable for Bill Dugan to drive a major 150 signatory contractor in his union car to a meeting for the specific purpose of investing alongside

                    signatory contractors.

 

Secret #9     Question?  Why would a Business agent of Local 150 spend over three and a half hours running a backhoe on a project for a private contractor?

                    (a). He’s just a nice guy? (b). He can make twice as much money working for 2 employers? (c). he doesn’t have a clue how to do his job? 

                    You be the judge!

 

Secret #10   Question?  Who is Todd Vandermyde?  Lobbyist for the NRA?   Lobbyist for ABATE? Business Agent for Local 150? Just who the hell is he

                    working for?  Do we pay dues to the NRA or Local 150? We're not trading gun votes for jobs are we??

 

Secret # 11  Question? How much will the the new training site cost?? Let's see, first Bill Dugan Says he wasn't sure, then at many district meetings he said he didn't

                    know, now he says it will be less than $60 million.  Well Bill lets refresh your memory, you said in the Nov 2003 engineer that "We expect construction

                    of the new complex to take several years at a cost of close to $15million."  Bill either lead, follow or get out of the way!

 

Secret # 12  Question? Dugan says in the 150 Engineer, "I defy anyone to tell me that support for these Republicans was not in the best interest of Local

                   150's members." If this is true why did our good friend Gov. Mitch Daniels sell Indiana members toll way? Is this the way our friends treat us by

                    giving $250,000 to the Indiana ABC to train future workers for the Major Moves fiasco? (check out the ABC website yourself) Did you know Bill

                    Dugan and Dave Fagan supported giving $50,000 of your PAC funds see page 5 of this PDF) to a project called Aiming Higher that promoted Major

                    screw, I mean Major Moves?? Mitch Daniels then passed Major Moves and began soliciting trainers for Major Moves projects. Did you know

                    Common Wage nor PLA's will not be a part of any Major Moves projects!! Thanks Bill, thanks Dave, and thanks Mitch.
